Abstract

From a dual‑mediation perspective of income and supply levels, this study examines the mechanism through which industrial digital transformation affects residents’ consumption upgrading. Empirical results indicate that industrial digital transformation exerts a significant positive effect on consumption upgrading, with both income level and supply level playing partial mediating roles, revealing the intrinsic logic by which digital transformation drives consumption structure optimization through enhanced income and improved supply quality.
