Research on the Townscape Management Strategy of Small Towns in Urban Suburbs—Take Dujiangyan City as An Example

Abstract

Since the reform and opening up, China's urbanization is advancing rapidly, promoting the majority of small towns to carry out the renewal construction in full swing. But there are some small towns in the process of construction ignoring their own actual consideration. To unilaterally imitate the experience and solutions of other small towns, making the style of small towns in different regions gradually become similar, street landscape, spatial pattern, architectural image gradually presents the phenomenon of homogenization, and there is an increasingly severe trend. As a city in northwest in Chengdu, the small towns surround in Dujiangyan are very typical in China. This article based on the townscape analysis of small towns in Dujiangyan, putting up several questions and relevant optimized measures, which wish to give similar urban development and style construction to make a certain reference.
