Abstract

This paper investigates the application of communicative translation theory to the translation of tour commentaries at Tang Paradise in China. It identifies the inadequacies in existing translations and applies Newmark's principles to propose more effective alternatives. By analyzing several case studies, this study demonstrates the enhancement of clarity, cultural adaptability, and audience comprehension in translations. It emphasizes the importance of culturally sensitive translation in enriching the tourist experience and facilitating cultural exchange. The findings contribute to the understanding of translation practices in tourism, highlighting their role in global cultural communication.
